This packed day has been put together in association with Invesco Perpetual and Schroders, two of the most substantial asset managers in the country.

This year will be the 9th annual event bringing together circa 90 investment paraplanners from financial advisory firms across the UK.

How does it work?

Paraplanning Excellence is a forum that runs from 8.45am - 4.30pm and made up of a blend of:

  • Keynote sessions geared to encouraging new thinking – typically from outside of the industry;
  • Roundtables – small facilitated groups addressing a carefully researched agenda. The whole day is Chatham House and therefore participants are able to speak openly and freely.
  • Plenty of networking opportunities.

  • This event will bring together the paraplanners, analysts, technical support etc who support advisers within the financial advisory industry.

    Cathi Harrison

    Director & Paraplanner, Para-Sols

    As the owner and Director of Para-Sols Cathi has been at the company since the very beginning! Starting of as a freelance Paraplanner, she has grown the company to where it is today. What makes working at Para-Sols special for her is our clients, “I love our clients; we work with such a great bunch of advisers and I love when we can help support them and we get to see their company grow in turn.” Along the way Cathi has also made sure her knowledge of the industry is second to none, gaining Chartered Financial Planner and Certified Financial Planner Status. She is also a Fellow of the PFS, and sits on their board also providing a voice for Paraplanners across the UK. As part of her commitment to the profession Cathi has also been part of a practitioner panel that has recently put on a round of Purely Paraplanning events across the UK.     Head of Market Insights, Invesco

    Based in Henley-on-Thames, Michael is an investment strategist responsible for supporting the activities of the UK sales and marketing teams. He joined the company in September 1999, as a member of the Invesco Perpetual European Equities team. He subsequently joined Citigroup as a global equities strategist in November 2007, before moving to RBC Global Asset Management as a European Equities portfolio manager in November 2009. He returned to our company in September 2013. Michael began his investment career in 1989, joining Fleming Investment Management, where he worked as a portfolio manager on a wide variety of institutional and retail equity and balanced products, with particular emphasis on European and North American equity markets. From 1995 to 1999 he was seconded to Milan and was responsible for the day to day investment management activities of their pension fund joint venture with Generali and COMIT.
