A PROCESS NOT JUST AN EVENT

Winning Advisers provides a unique opportunity to gain strategic insights and explore new business opportunities within the world of financial planning and advice.

This year we are running Winning Advisers in three different locations: Rudding Park Hotel (Harrogate - Tuesday 30 April); Bowood Hotel (Nr Chippenham - just off the M4 - Thursday 2 May) and Tylney Hall (nr Hook, Hampshire - Tuesday 15 October).

By running this event in three locations, we are keen to enable more forward thinking owner managers of independently spirited financial advisory firms to meet and share individual business insights and discuss the evolving nature of the industry.

Our goal is to demand as little of your time as possible and to provide you with as rich an experience as possible.

The format:

Keynote sessions geared to encouraging new thinking – typically from outside the industry;

Roundtables – small facilitated groups addressing the agenda which has been carefully built based on research meetings held within your peer group. The whole day is Chatham House and therefore participants are able to speak openly and freely.

The roundtables take place in a private room with, typically, some 15 people around the table. Tent cards with participants’ names and companies are set out to make it easy to identify your peer group. The sessions are introduced by an expert on the subject. This introduction will usually last about 10 minutes before the conversation is opened up to the table, the goal being to ensure that everyone gets stuck in! The session facilitator will bring the session to a conclusion, highlighting the key points raised.

There will be plenty of networking opportunities including a formal seated luncheon.

In summary, your time is precious and our goal is to ensure that if you spend it with us, you spend it in the company of your peers, you address the subjects which matter to you, and all in a time efficient manner.

WHO?

You will be an owner manager or Board Directors of an IFA which typically has in excess of  £80M FUM and at least two financial advisers. To see a snapshot of those who participated at previous sessions, please review the Scene Setter research.

We anticipate fielding a group of circa 50.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY:

All these sessions are held in very civilised settings. If we are going to persuade you to take a day out of your busy calendar, the least we can offer is an agreeable setting and an above average lunch.

In the run up to the event, you will have been invited to shape your day by choosing those roundtable sessions which are of most interest and relevance to you. You will therefore be working to a personalised itinerary which will be available on the event app.

The full Schedule of the Day can be found above by clicking on the button on the right hand side.

There is no cost to attend and the event is CPD accredited.
